Welcome to my blog — no, it's actually Site Diaries.
When I say Site Diaries, this is for:
- People who have no idea what architecture is
- People who have no idea what interior design is
- The client who wants to work with me in the future
- Budding architects
- Architecture students
- Other people who are curious
It's not like the usual journals sharing what happened today.
My Site Diaries is to get to know about me and to know how I approach my projects — the way I work, the style I have.
In my Site Diaries, you will find:
- I will be sharing the process,
- the mindset,
- the creativity questions on my mind while desigining
- How to approach
- What I like the most
- What the client enjoys
- How the project changes and evolves
The design is not finalized in a single go.
The main motto of my Site Diaries is:
I want to share my journey. I want to document the projects I work on.
When I read about my Site Diaries, it makes me happy. It's like rewinding things.
I like going back to the days when I worked on the project.
It's not only about talking about the positive things — it's also about focusing on the negative things that could have been done better.
I also want all my projects to be successful ones.
Suppose in case of a mistake, it can also be addressed later. It will be easier for me when I'm documenting.
I know these are the mistakes I made.
Anyone can learn from the mistakes I made. I can also learn and rectify them.
How I initially proposed the plan, then what happened in the meeting, and how the plan evolved —
For instance, because of the lighting, we have changed this — you can learn...
Often, small details are missed out.
Architecture and interior design lie in the smallest details.
In architecture — say, cornice details.
In interior design — we may miss the small carving on the tables.
Architecture is more of creative problem-solving when it comes to the broader context.
Interior design is like using the space to the maximum and placing the right object in the right place.
Each and every project is different, and everything is not the same.
It's easier for me to know about the project I have worked on.
You can learn:
- The way we approach architecture projects
- The way we approach interior design — both are different.
Documenting has many ways of visual form — like video.
But I like to write when I create.
Sometimes I like it written in a nice language, in my style.
Thanks so much for taking time to read this.
Hope you get more valuable insights from my upcoming Site Diaries.
You can share your thoughts and the things you are amazed about.
You can share with me.
